We are part of Public History
A new didactic handbook (in German language) takes a scientific look at the many different ways in which people come into contact with history in everyday life. In jointly written contributions, teams of authors from academia and practice present various forms and functions of doing history, point out similarities, overlaps, as well as differences between them, and discuss their significance for social understanding and (not only school) learning processes.
One of the chapters was written with the participation of one of our members and is dedicated to the various manifestations of Living History, thus providing a detailed overview of the different approaches that actors like us use to bring history to life.
