Cooking to kick off the season
We kicked off the season with two events for the kitchen team in February and April. It all started on 4 February for a small team in the premises of the Haus Bürgel museum in Monheim am Rhein. The programme included a small selection of Roman dishes, so the event gave us a light and successful start to the season. On 12 April, a somewhat larger team went on to the Museum Night at the Museum Oerlinghausen. Here too, far away from the Roman frontier, we were able to convince the public of Roman culture with a selection of Roman food and drinks. And that was not all: further events for the kitchen are being planned and we will also be putting Roman ovens back into operation this season.
