The Roemercohorte Opladen bid farewell to the winter break with a small Roman weekend at the Xanten Archaeological Park as its last event of the year. Last weekend, some of our members were on duty in Xanten to provide the public with Roman food and drink for an early celebration of the Saturnalia. In addition to the tried and tested offerings from our tasting kitchen and an additional stand with delicious globi, there was also a herb stand and non-alcoholic spiced wine was served for the first time. Of course, there were also explanations on how to prepare the food and drinks.

Now we are retiring to winter camp for a short break. The next season will start early and once again hold numerous events on a variety of topics in exciting locations.
