For the opening of this year's season, we started up the field baking oven at the Haltern Roman Museum with a small delegation in bright sunshine. Thus, on the opening weekend of the Archaeological State Exhibition of North Rhine-Westphalia 2021/2022 "Rome's Flowing Borders" (https://www.roemer.nrw/), the public could not only admire spectacular finds in the museum and take a look at the progress of the Roman construction site behind the museum, but also enjoy freshly baked Roman bread from the field oven.
